Departure at 18:00 every day from Kirkjubæjarklaustur

Duration: 2.5 hours

This is a wonderful trip for the whole family. We drive in to the mountains the same road as to Laki Craters but only half way.

The road to Laki is a rough mountain road and vehicles must cross un-bridged rivers that swell in heavy rain

We will stop at the beautiful hidden waterfall Fagrifoss and explore its surroundings. From there we will drive back to the breath-taking Fjaðrárgljúfur gorge where passengers can walk downhill by the gorge (about 20 min easy walk). The car will wait for you at the parking lot. On our way back we will also drive into the magnificent area of Landbrotshólar (Pseudo- Craters) and explore them and learn how they were formed.
